An X-ray detectable thread is a surgical thread made with a radiopaque material, such as barium sulfate, to make it visible on X-ray images. This is used in medical settings to ensure that surgical gauze, swabs, and other dressings are easily located and retrieved after a procedure, preventing them from being accidentally left inside a patient. 

X-Ray Detectable Thread contains 60% barium sulfate, can be heat bonded in Surgical Dressings as a Radiopaque component which is firmly attached to the products like Gauze Swab, Gauze Sponges, Laparotomy Sponges, it is completely harmless to human body, available thread in spools, tape in continuous form, pre cut form.
